Another step in surrogacy process, So after reading an IP's (intended parent's ) profile, the agency sets up a conference call for you and the IP's to ask questions and get a feel for each other. On Wednesdy my IP's and I had our very first conference call.. About a 30 minutes after disconecting, I got a call from the agency telling me they said yes. I was and still am SUPER excited.
We exchanged emails/and skype accounts. This morning Sunday My IP's skype called me but my camera on my phone wasn't working too well. So I had to set up an account on my computer. We have set a time that at 7pm my time 11 am
I think the hardest part of this process so far "after" getting all the medical records transfeered" is juggling. It seems as though I have 1 job (my day job) then my job as a mother and wife, and responsibilities to the rest of my family. Then after all of that I also feel like I am going thru an interview process.... for a second job. I am more then possitive after the driving, ivf hormones, psych testing, drug testing, medical record review... meeting them and everything else it intels my nerves will come to ease... I am super excited and this is just something I feel like I need to do before I pass... For examle my daughters birthday is this weekend, my other daughters is the week the IPs come to visit, my sons is the week after when we ae to stat the IVF... at least that is what I am being told... so it's a lot of juggling... not always easy but again... SUPER exciting. I am glad to have been given this chance and opportunity. So I just can't wait for it to begin.
Sincerely,
Your surrogate,
ps. please pray that my skype meeting goes smoothly tonight.

Intended Parents (update)
So the lady at the angecy that I have been dealing with's name is Amy. She has been great. She is always so prompt with her responses... which is nice because like I've said before I am not the most patient especially when it's something I eally want to do. I just want to start already. So one things first is the medical records that were sent off to an IVF dr... i'm not sure the status on that but she stated in the mean time she was going to put my profile out so that IP's could look at it. So she contacted me last week letting me know that there were a few couples looking into my profile from China. And that if she found one she would be contacting me back soon. She then sent me the following.

Pap Smear Appointment
Today, I had my Dr appointment for my Pap Smear. Lucky I took the day off to do it. I waited about 2 hours to be seen for the dr to see me for 2 minutes. She was sweet though. Results will be ready in 2 weeks.
She was sweet though. The birthcontrol pills I was on (in order to regulate my cycle) were making me sick. So they dropped me down to a lower estrogin birthcontrol. Also, per Amy from the agency they want me to start taking prenatal vitamins..so I have to go pick some of those up. So far thats it... so I'll keep in touch.
Talk to you later.
your surogate,
Ash

Final Medical Records
Today I got the final confirmation that all medical records were mailed. The last were mailed today by regular US mail so hopefully she gets those by next week Wednesday.
Also my Pap is scheduled for next week Tuesday... so those are the last of the first few steps... then it's off to the Psychic to make sure me and Eric aren't crazy people...the the billion and one steps after that. : )
#Hopefully yours,
Ashley

Pap Smear
So, I dont remember if I posted about this or not. But on Tuesday June 14th, 2011 I had taken the day off to get my pap done. Although for the past month or so my period has been irregular. I had kept the appointment in hopes it would stop by then. Although when the time came it was unfortunate...I was still on it. So I decided to go anyways and just get birthcontrol to regulate it out so that I could then make the appointment for the pap smear and be sure that I would be able to go.
Now I have to wait 2 week period the third week "saturday" Eric has a photo shoot and by the 4th week I'll be back on the brown pills. So I will have to figure out how to go around that. It will most likely result in me having to take yet another day off of work...not like I wouldn't like it. I just can't afford to be taking off a lot of work with our new rules at work.
FYI: Loestrin, I think thats what it's called is actually a really good birthcontrol. At least it works well for me. I took it on the 14th the same day my period stopped. I was in love. especially since no one wants to be on that thing let alone for a whole month off and on... it was not fun. In fact it was very draining.
Well I just wanted to make sure you guys knew of the other obstacle I had to get through for this process... it seems small but a tons of small occurances that come up in the middle of a road you are trying to plow through it more time consuming then anyone hopes.
Your surrogate.

Initial Interview
Today was a crazy morning for me.
I had training this morning from 8-10am. So I got up at the regular (week day) time. When that was finished I went to get gas. Ran to the gocery store to get somethings to make some lemmon bars, blue berry muffins, and orange juice for the meeting. Ran home, picked up a bit. bathed the kids. By this time it was already 11:30 and Amy (from the agency) already arrived. I didn't get to finish the lemon bars and the blue berry muffins just finished as soon as she was leaving. : )
Everything ran as smoothly as it could with 3 children. lol.
Amy, one of the representatives of west coast surrogacy was a very sweet individual, and after we both got to know one another I felt more comfotable then before. She went over the process of surogacy with both me and Eric. We were both able to ask questions and put forth request as far as the intended parents...etc. She showed us the needles for the hormones...etc 1 isn't bad at all but the other looks HUGE!!!! : ) it was a little scarry to think about. But it's all for a good cause. I'm extremely excited and happy and can't wait to pair up with a couple/single and get started.
She advised me as well that she still hasn't received all of the medical records.
She did receive Facey(2nd child preg), and Northridge. (2nd and 3rd deliveries) whch means we are still waiting for Dr Nitta and Kaiser. So I will have to do a follow up again next Monday.
I'll check up again around that time. Toorrow is Father's day... so happy father's day to all you dad's and moms who act as a dad out there.
We'll talk soon!!!
Your Surrogate.
